What the registry can show

Use this page to understand the trust boundary of Electronic Registry.

What Electronic Registry can show

  • A public registry record exists.
  • When it was created.
  • Which exact file hash or Public Reference entry was involved.
  • Whether related entries were added later.

What Electronic Registry does not decide

  • Truth
  • Ownership
  • Authorship
  • Originality
  • Exclusivity
  • Legality
  • Compliance
  • Certification
  • Platform approval
  • Official approval

Public Reference

Public Reference means a public reference was attached to a file that was already recorded in the registry. It does not convert the registry into an ownership, authorship, platform identity, or official-source system.
