Terms of use
These terms describe how the Electronic Registry controlled beta may be used.
This page is an early controlled-beta draft, shared for transparency. It is pending professional legal review and may change before public launch.
Controlled beta service
Electronic Registry is provided as a controlled beta, on an as-is and as-available basis, for testing and evaluation. Features, availability, and data may change during the beta. Beta records are written to Solana Devnet, a public test network that may be reset, so beta records should not be treated as production-permanent.
What the registry does and does not decide
Verification checks whether an exact file or hash matches a public Electronic Registry record. It does not decide truth, ownership, authorship, originality, legality, compliance, certification, copyright, AI status, platform approval, official approval, legal validity, or court acceptance.
Recording units
Verification is free. Creating a new record or a new Public Reference entry consumes recording units. A duplicate or no-change request does not consume a unit, and a failed write does not consume a unit. Units are product capacity, not a cryptocurrency balance.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Electronic Registry to record unlawful content, content that infringes the rights of others, or the personal data of other people without a lawful basis. Because records are public and append-only, do not record information you are not permitted to make public. Electronic Registry may decline or limit abusive use, including misuse of Public References.
No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, the beta service is provided without warranties of any kind. Electronic Registry does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and does not guarantee that Devnet references will remain resolvable.
Governing law
The governing law and jurisdiction for these terms will be confirmed before public launch and are not finalized during the controlled beta.
